Eight Months

Wow. Eight months since I last updated this place. That’s a long time in cyberspaceland, but no one visits here anyway because I’ve never told anyone about this place. I am strongly considering getting rid of my other site and using this one exclusively. Three years and I haven’t had a drama outbreak yet. Yes, I have actually been sitting here, waiting in ambush, for some drama to come out of the woodworks and get me. I know that sounds stupid, but it’s happened before. Things were calm for months, then one day, someone made a collective of all of my sites–despite them not being linked together for obvious reasons. I don’t link to my journals, my myspace, the message boards I post at, for good reasons. I don’t want all of that linked together should something come of this. Still, my other site is due for re-registration next month. If it doesn’t automatically register, I’ll just move (almost) everything over here. I just don’t know how to configure MovableType as well as I’d like to. I need help and I don’t have the time to ask everyone and their granny for help on forums, and I don’t dare give just anyone my passwords. Then I read around about how GreyMatter has its security holes. Don’t people still use it, though?

Then there’s the idea that it totally sucks that I have so many journals that the ones I held important to me just a few years ago are now abandoned so badly the entire year’s worth of archives are all on the main index page. I couldn’t do that again if I tried. I have too much on my plate. I have too much going on. I have so many journals and projects going on that I need to kill some, if not all, of them. Just have the one blog or the one journal. In a world where people change domains like they change underwear, it’s unusual for me to have stayed at this site for so long. Or my other site. The next big break I get from life, I’ll look over what I have. I probably won’t blog on MySpace anymore. I probably won’t use the GreatestJournal anymore, just visit the forums. I will keep my LiveJournal because I’m a permanent member there, and Jerry paid for that. I’ll probably keep the Vox and the Philosophy, but only because those are novelties now. Other than that, everything else is going. I really can’t keep up with everything that I have now. I just need to clean out the clutter. Probably I’ll use the GreatestJournal, MySpace, Philosophy and Vox to check up on the friends I’ve made there. I’m old school. I like my domain, LiveJournal and Friendster accounts. =)
