I am such a sucker for technology. Tell me something is better than what I currently have, and you have yourself a customer. Then again, I’m fickle about it at the same time. If what I have works and does what I want it to, then generally, I don’t care if I have the latest and greatest.
I’m downloading Toast 9 right now. Legally, of course. It promises to burn BluRay discs. That’s great. I hope it doesn’t make them by default because I don’t have a BluRay player. I don’t understand why some technology is uncompatible with others. Our Wii plays both Wii games and GameCube games. The discs aren’t even the same size, but they work in the Wii. Someone told me PS2 and PS3 play some of the old PlayStation games. That’s great, if I ever upgrade past PlayStation. Which I doubt I will. All of my old GameBoy games from the 80s fit Pogo’s DS, and I was able to pass them on down to her. The colors are a little weird, but they work.
Someone told me all their regular DVDs work fine on their BluRay players. That’s great. I’d buy one. Except I’ve been recording shows on a DVD player since 2003 and I’d really like to keep it that way. Plus, I just bought it in 2005. I don’t want to have to buy a new one so soon.
I need to get back to my general cleaning. Too bad there’s no program that will enable all the laundry, dishes and trash to be taken care of with a push of a button. When there is, I’ll be the first in line to buy it.
