So much has happened since my last post that I don’t know where to begin.
Scratch that. It should read: So much happened today that I don’t know where to begin. I finished the semester. My first semester without my rock. When I stop and think, this is going to be the first Christmas I’ll be celebrating without him here. No, I’m not talking about Dennis. I mean my friend from school who passed away on June 4th. I wasn’t thinking about him until his mom called me and said she had a box of his things that I might be interested in. It turns out she gave me a $400 digital camera of his, a photo album of pictures of us, and that pen he made a couple of years ago at Christmas time with the bells hot-glued to the lid. It jingles when you write. There’s more stuff in that box, but I don’t want to dig through it just now.
I’m glad the semester is over. I went to sell back my books and $500 worth of new Dance on Film and Biochemistry books were bought back for $7. They wouldn’t buy back my Dance on Film book, but I told them to put it in the donation box because if I kept it I’d have to go on medication and possibly be locked up in the end. The guy just looked at me for a second, then tossed the book in the bin. No one ever gets my jokes. =(
I am bleeding out from my surgery. =’( It’s not gushing or anything, so I think I’m safe. I still have stitches and it’s hard to get around, but I made the promise that I’d wash laundry tomorrow, so that’s what I’m going to do. Sadly, I’m looking forward to washing clothes. Hey, it’s a change of pace!!
