Nine Years In The Making

On Tuesday, December 21, 1999, I attended my last day of computer programming class. We had done our finals the class before, but the teacher wanted to award the student who made the highest grade with a brand-new domain. Back then, it was pratically unheard of for college students to have domains. They weren’t as casual as they are today, and the few who did have them were computer majors. Now, it seems like anyone in any major is subjected to have a domain.

For some reason, I made the highest grade in the class, and I was able to get a domain. Back then .coms were scarse, .nets were rare, and .orgs were unheard of. Although they were out there. I say “for some reason” because I never cracked a book at all in that class. I was bored with it within the first few hours. But I still did well.

Today I’ve had this site for nine years. That’s a big number. Almost double digits. =)
