Computer Cleaning

I was going to throw out my iMac at the beginning of next month because the fans are running constantly on it. I really didn’t want to do that. I think with a memory upgrade and some cleaning, or tweaking, it would be just fine. So I googled around, and someone on a board suggested that someone take the cover off and vacuum out the dust inside. I had never taken apart my computer before, but I did it today:

So far, the fans haven’t been racing on here, so I think I’ll keep it. Why are computers so unmaintainence free???
