Good News

I may be getting that .com I wanted back in March, after all.
Before anyone gets upset about my chronic domain purchasing (this will be five that I bought this year), I want to say that I pre-paid for the domain via a back order, in January, when I was first contemplating getting a new domain. For some reason, Enom dropped the name last night after the WhoIS said they had renewed the domain name until 2010. Oh well. If that happens, I may move my blog there, if/when I get the name. Right now it’s in the redemption period, but the actual website is no longer active.
In the meantime, I have a small proposition to make for my readers here.
I’m currently using MovableType for my blog, since I cannot get WordPress to install on this god-forsaken server, and it’s a pain in the butt. I have a nice, crisp twenty-dollar bill here, in the form of a PayPal transaction, for anyone who can do the following for me:
Install WordPress on a cPanel-based website (you’ll get your own login to do that), without using fantastico. For some reason that gives an error.
Import my layout and entries. This can be tricky, but you can purchase a theme from themespress.com for $10.
So basically you’ll get the $10 for that back and $5 to install the wordpress and another $5 to import my entries and tweak the layout. Of course if you’re excellent at tweaking or making themes, you don’t need to use themespress.com, and you’d make a complete $20 profit.
Any takers? Leave a comment with an actual email address or email me:
