Diet Pills, Riot Pills

Often times when we browse the internet, we come across train wrecks that just keep moving with the times. Below is an sample from a train wreck blog that I just can’t tear myself away from:

My daughter Vanity is overweight and I asked the doctor for help. She gave me weight loss pills for her. I can tell they’ve been working. A lot of shirts that hasn’t fit her in months, now fit her. Or is she getting taller? the 2 youngest girls are tall for their age, but I’m hoping the pills are helping her. I was going to ask if I could get some, but I hate taking any pills and I hate the side affects.

The daughter in the story above is an elementary school kid. WTF? Am I the only one who sees, or is able to read, the “Only use if you’re 18 and over” on diet pills? Even prescription ones? If I had a child who was overweight, I wouldn’t sit on my laptop all day and blog about giving her diet pills. I’d be out exercising her, preparing balanced diets for her, and buying fresh fruits and vegetables for her to snack on. People often don’t know it, but what you snack on as a kid stays with you when you become an adult. So feed your kids apple slices and carrot sticks for snacks.

This particular blogger is lazy. There’s so much wrong with her that I can’t begin to start, but giving a child diet pills is probably the worst thing I have ever read on her blog. Well, after smoking while pregnant. Nothing like starting them out young!
