The Defunct Desktop

Greetings from the world of my husband’s laptop!
This is going to be a good thing; we’re now effectively, efficiently, sharing a computer because my G5 desktop won’t turn on. I’m kind of wary of taking it to the Apple Store because it’s over five years old and there’s not really that much that they can do for it, other than try to sell me something else. Which, don’t get me wrong, I’d love to carry out a brand-new, super-fast iMac, but I can’t afford at the moment.
When I asked my husband if I could borrow his computer, he asked me why. Naturally. I’d ask him the same thing if he came to me wanting to use my computer. “My computer won’t turn on. I’ve tried jiggling the cord, I’ve tried unplugging it and re-plugging it back in, I’ve tried ‘resetting the PRAM’. Nothing works,” I replied. “Yeah. They have power buttons in the back. Have you tried pushing the power button?” he asked. I rolled my eyes. “Yes babe, I have,” I replied.
So I haven’t been able to check my ISP email.
But this all ties into Christmas cards. If you want to exchange cards with me this year, feel free to. I have a box of 100 cards being shipped to me right now, so I’ll have more than enough if anyone wants to exchange cards. Just send me a card here:
PO Box 1374
Sand Springs, OK 74063
Or buy me something.
If you’d like my physical address, read the last paragraph of my disclaimer and then contact me. :)
