Mark had a surprise for me this morning during our commute to school.

Ziggy wanted some:

Oh, and he had a glass of chocolate milk for me too:

In the meantime, I sent Dennis to the bookstore to get me a calendar of some kind. I don’t know why we don’t have a calendar yet, but I need one. He came back with a small bag. Inside it was a birthday card for my grandma, for me to give to my mom so she could send it. I pulled out the calendar. “Jewish Art?” I asked. “It was either that or Obama Poses for PlayGirl….And I bought that one for me!” he replied. Oh the joys of having a husband like him.

The snow has turned into depressing brown slush. But at least the roads are clear.

Add me on Flickr. Or not. Whatever’s good for you.
It’s that weird time of day. I’m alone. Dennis is gone to get Darren from school, which doesn’t let out until 4pm. Chloe, James and Asher are taking naps. The chores are done. The dogs are out for a little while. And I’m alone. Have I already said that? This is also the time of day when PoRo would be telling me about her day, or asking to look at my Grey’s Anatomy text book, or doing her homework while telling me who was dating who at her school or if there was anything special going on. I really, truly miss her.
I’m a little worried. Chloe came home from school and went right to bed to sleep. This isn’t the first time that she’s done that, but when PoRo did it, she had cancer. She was just two years older than Chloe when she started coming home from school and going right to bed. I can’t go through that again. I really can’t.
I’ve tried playing Wii games with Josh, but he cheats so much they aren’t fun. I don’t stand a chance against him.
Other than that, I still haven’t found the cord to the camera. I think I lost it or packed it away when I got my new desk. After all, I’d never need that with the new card reader I was getting for Christmas, right?? *sigh* After class tomorrow I’ll go and buy a new one. Though I know as soon as I do that, I’ll find my old cord. It’s all good though.
