The Worst Patient Ever

I went and seen my idiotic doctor today. He flat out called me a liar about the low blood sugars. Apparently, a blood glucose level of 38-42 is not “low” and “normal people” have blood sugars around 20. Riiiight.

He also informed me that I was ‘fat’. To which I replied, in Bruce’s voice, “Oh no! When did that happen?” He didn’t catch my sarcasm.

Can I quit now?

I don’t know what type of meter you have, but I know there are some that keep a record of blood sugar readings over a period of months (maybe even years). If you had one of those, you could just print off your previous readings and hand him the evidence of your lows. Does he take your A1C level while you’re in his office? That should surely show him the pattern of all those lows.

Well, that’s good news about the low blood sugars.
We have a different measurement system, so I can’t compare.

We all get a bit more volume in time. I assume it’s a natural thing and not something bad, as they make us believe.
