I have started my first translation of progress online. I really am excited about this change, and I’m looking forward to all that will happen because of it.
Right now, though, it’s been so hot here lately that I have had to take cool baths to lower my basal body temperature at night. It’s impossible to run the air conditioners most of the time because it’s just so damned hot outside, yet they freeze up after a few moments, and they are all in front of tables or desks. Having that cold air blowing on you for several minutes gives one the chills, even in triple digit weather. It’s been hot like this for over a month now. It’s only MAY! So it’s off to the cool bath waters for me! More progress coming soon!
After sitting around, going over my assets and other things, I have decided that I will be seriously downsizing my presence online. One of my blogs will be gone forever, with the archives sent over to the blog that I choose to keep. I’m certainly not going to be getting rid of any of my domains, at least not the active ones, and the one that I will keep my blog on, you will be able to find me on. So starting on Sunday, I will be going through my site and deleting things that I feel are no longer relevant to the site. The site will simply become a collective, if that. I am thinking about removing the site all together and just keeping the domain name.
Next month I will have kept a blog for ten years. I want to get back to my roots. I want to make things simple like they were just ten years ago. No one other than myself has had any impact on this decision. It’s something that I have come to on my own, and I feel it’s for the best. I wouldn’t be downsizing my online life if I didn’t think it wasn’t for a good reason.
Smile for me. I insist!
One of the things about coming home after having a day away from the internet is that I have a lot to come home to. Thirty-seven emails that I had to reply to. Over five-hundred tickets. Not to mention the comments!
Some loose threads; Megan deleted all of her sites. Even the laylastormz.com site is no longer registered. I wonder why that is? Couldn’t be that she was guilty, was it? Her other pages are still on the web, though. I’m sure another hate site written by someone who has been following my blog ‘for a long time’ will pop up and ‘expose’ me. I don’t know what’s there to expose; I don’t steal pictures of other people, I don’t fraud people out of money, and I don’t make up things about my life to put on the web. What would the point of that be? I’m sure Megan will lay low for a while, and then start her fake whore sites back up, and when she does, I’ll be there to kindly remind her that stealing other people’s money and prostitution and the promotion of adultery is not very Christ-like.
Matt cleaned a little (or a lot, depending on what your definition is) while we were gone. He dusted and cleaned my computer, my TV, my desk, my dresser, the little case of drawers on my desk, my drive, and he even re-connected the DVD burner to the TV, so I can watch movies again! In his note to me, he said the Saw movies had to go. Why? *snickers* He also fluffed my pillows by leaving them in the dryer for an hour; they were flat. He cleaned the bedroom floor, and washed some of the sheets here. His note said that he can’t imagine how I live in the conditions that I live in. But for all the good he did, he erased my Palm Pilot. He said he was just going to charge it, but it was frozen on a certain screen and he said the only way to unfreeze it was to erase it. Which sucks because I had nursing software on there and my pharmacy apps.
My birthday is coming up in June. If you want to get me something, my wish list is here. If you put a return address on there, I’ll send you a thank-you card after my birthday.
The Seth MacFarlane pictures are in my husband’s Flickr. So go check them out. They’re public as far as I know.
When my husband gets back from the bank, we’re going to go out to Doc Dan’s office and see what my test results are. I may or may not post them tonight. We’re going to get severe weather and you know me, I love to watch that.
Smile! It’s a beautiful life!
So I came across a web faker today. Nothing new there. Contrary to what my mom wants to believe, people lie on the web all the time. Normally those lies are for attention and no legal harm is done. When the person starts advertising something they cannot provide, for a price or gifts, it becomes fraud and a crime. Still, not a rarity on the web, right?
It is when you personally know the person who is committing the fraud. Know them as in they live in the town you attended University at and you’ve run into them and made small talk with them in local stores that you just both happen to be visiting.
I’m talking about CloudzAngel aka Megan Lewis. She’s single. She’s not really cam-girl material (neither am I, and it truly is not the end of the world, trust me). She steals real cam girl’s pictures and then claims they’re some waif’s videos and pictures of some domain that she always buys from Yahoo! Domains and thus her real name and address will always be in the WHOIS, which gives her away every time. In the course of about three years, she’s accumulated 27-33 domains. All slutty webcam whores who promise three ways, videos, Tulsa escorts, and pictures. None of which ever get distributed to the people who pay for them. It’s scary, really.
When I first came across her, after reading about her scams on an anti-faking site, I had forgotten where I had saw her face before, and called out, “Hey Megan!” She didn’t recognise me, either, but we made small talk in the store. I guess she assumed I was one of the obnoxious Hanson or Backstreet Boys fans she knew on the web. It wasn’t until last night that my memory was jogged about where I knew her from. I did a quick Google of the ‘voicemail number‘ that both her latest imaginary sluts have, and guess what? It’s not a ‘Dallas’ number at all. It’s actually a Seattle, WA area code. Not only did LaylaStormz and RachelSparx have the same number, but Megan has a number with the same area code on her CloudzAngel site.
LaylaStormz.com, just registered yesterday, already has a somewhat following on Yahoo groups for desperate men. But here’s where it all comes together. LaylaStormz.com and RachelSparx.com have the same pages, with just the names changed. I’m guessing she had a fraudulent domain where she named one of her fictional whores “Emily” as seen in this review where she did not cover her tracks well:

The same reviews are LaylaStormz.com, with just the names changed:

So I called her out on it in her GuestBook, which still bears the name “Rachel Sparx” in the link:

To which, just moments ago, she changed her site to say “Under Construction” yet if you click the Google link up there, the pages are still available on the web.
