Google Chrome is now available for the Intel Mac. It’s a beta-browser, but it is fast. Faster than FireFox. Faster than IE was. Faster than Safari. I kind of like it.
I recommend that you download it, if you haven’t already. Too bad they don’t have something this fast for my old G5. I’m thinking of trashing that computer, though.
Take note, I have a new email address. This time it downloads to both my computers’ Thunderbirds. That way if anyone emails me, there’s a very little chance that I won’t get it. Of course there are always technical issues, such as if the domain it’s hosted on is down or no longer registered, but I don’t think I’ll have to deal with that for at least two years.
I’ve gotten a lot done this weekend. I threw out the old ragged quilt that was on the bed and replaced it with a new, washable quilt. Hey, it was three years old and smelled like the dog! I also filled the bed some more so I don’t sink to the bottom. I cleaned up the bathroom and even am contemplating cleaning Seth and Baxter’s cage today. After I have something to eat, that is!
I have a question.
Does anyone have and DVD copying software they really recommend? I have a MacBookPro, and a stack of blank DVDs and I wanted to copy over my DVD+RW discs from 2003-2005 onto permanent DVDs. The problem? iDVD sucks. It takes forever to copy a single DVD and it takes up so much of the computer’s resources that the computer lags. I need something that will copy the 4.8 GB discs in about thirty minutes so I can have all of them copied and some duplicated for my mom, by tonight. Just a little project to keep me busy on this cold Sunday afternoon.
Before anyone suggests it, I’ve already searched Google. I’d like some personal feedback, if that’s possible. I have about thirty DVDs to burn by 10pm tonight. Any ideas?
There seems to be some communication gap going on here. So I’ll make it a little plainer.
I am not going to be accepting any EC ads of any kind until I know for sure they’re not going to go fourth a force paid ads on my site. Paid ads are against my hosting’s terms of service and I could lose my sites and nearly a decade of hard work and writing on the web because of this. So please don’t offer to advertise on my site until Monday morning. It sucks, I know. We’ll get through it.
Everyone knows that I have archives from 2000 that I need to get back on the web. The sad thing is, they were originally generated by Blogger and then later on GreyMatter. I have them in HTML format, but the HTML is for Mac OS 9, and virtually impossible to read via modern browsers.
If anyone can fix these archives to a MovableType/WordPress .xml importable format, I’ll gladly buy you a 1 year paid account, extension, or PayPal you $20. I just can’t get the files to cooperate and I wanted to reupload my 2000/2001 entries.
Also, if I were my 2002/2008 entries, where would I have saved them???? Snow Leopard has a build like Windows and I don’t know where the default save folder is.
